You’re in a desert walking along in the sand when all of the sudden you look down, and you see a tortoise, it’s crawling toward you. You reach down, you flip the tortoise over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over, but it can’t, not without your help. But you’re not helping. Why is that?.
Because you're listening to the 100 of Some(Movie)Thing BLADE RUNNER Pocast!
Wake up, time to download!
Also, I agree with @pattonoswalt, this is the best Blade Runner poster, ever:

So, raise your hands if you knew James Cagney started out as a dancer.
That many, huh?
Sure.
James Cagney starred in this 1942 biopic about the famed composer, actor, singer, dancer and playwright George M. Cohan (the "M" is for Modest). Snappy dialog, great musical numbers combine to make this an enduring favorite of mine.
I hope you enjoy it, too.

This week on 100 of Some(Movie)Thing we watch the 1995 animated classic, Toy Story.
The podcast is a little short because, well, it just is. Okay? This movie is near and dear to both @the_Fro and me, it was the first film I took him to see as a kid. We still love it. Even though it has aged.
The movie poster above is linked to a file on the TrailerAddict.com website, the original image copyright owner is not listed on that site, but is probably Disney and Pixar (or just Disney, or just Pixar). If anybody wants me to take the image down, just let me know. - @misterbowen

@misterbowen here, welcome to the 100 of Something Movie Thing, a new project that I'm doing with my son @the_Fro. We're going to watch each and every movie on the AFI Top 100 Movies of All Time list and then we're going to talk about them here on the 100 of Something Podcast site.
First up, the 1959 blood and sandals epic, Ben-Hur, directed by William Wyler and starring Charlton Heston and a cast of thousands.
It's number 100 on the list and clocking in at over three hours it's got quite a lot of story to tell. Let's get to it shall we?

@artharpy is back from her latest travel adventure and we're talking about it! San Francisco, The Castro, rainbow suspenders, a paper napkin artist, comedy at SF Sketchfest, future podcasters, a mean kid on a bus, domain squatters, model building and crack-smokers! It's all right here!

We went to Kansas and all we brought back for you was this podcast.
We made important discoveries about ourselves and our art.
We talk about what we saw. We talk about what we didn't see.
We talk.
Enjoy.

@artharpy is travelling (colorfully) this week and so that's what we're talking about. What an artist might consider taking along--or in the case of @misterbowen's student trip to Ireland towards the end of the last century--what not to take.
We'll explore some options and opine.
Enjoy!
Programming Note: We're still ...still!... working on figuring out this whole podcast thing and there's still ...still!... a slight echo on this pod. ...pod...
